Terms and Conditions

All bookings, either confirmed or pending are subject to Training With Jas Terms and Conditions. Completion of any bookings constitutes acceptance of these terms and your continued use of our services confirms your acceptance of the terms in force each time you use our services. The Terms and Conditions set out an agreement between you ‘The Customer’ and Training With Jas.

 

Group Training Classes and Private (121) Sessions

​

  1. All dogs being trained must be fully vaccinated/titre tested and on a regular flea and worm control regime. Proof of current vaccinations/titre testing must be supplied before the first group training session.

  2. All dogs must be microchipped and wearing the correct ID tag as in accordance with the law.

  3. The Customer is responsible and liable for any and all accidents/injuries to themselves, their dog, their property and any guests who attend the session with them. At no point is Training With Jas liable for any accident, injury or damage incurred.

  4. Bitches in season are not permitted to attend group classes, should The Customer miss a session due to this, one class credit may be carried over to use on the next repeat of the training course. This credit is non-transferrable and expires after 6 weeks.

  5. Training With Jas accepts no responsibility for loss of possessions or dogs during a session.

  6. All dogs must be kept on a lead unless otherwise instructed.

  7. All children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

  8. No more than 3 humans per dog are permitted during the group sessions without prior written agreement from Training With Jas.

  9. Harsh handling, prong collars, e-collars, physical corrections and any equipment perceived to be of an aversive nature are not permitted at any time. Customers who are seen to use such handling methods and/or tools will be asked to remove the offending items and change their handling approach, or will leave immediately and will not be offered a refund.

  10. Training With Jas accepts no responsibility for any damage to, theft of, or from customer’s vehicles. Please do not leave valuables in cars and never leave dogs unattended in a vehicle.

  11. Training sessions that are held outdoors may be on uneven terrain and slippery in places. Training With Jas cannot be held liable for any problems caused by the weather.

  12. Should The Customer’s dog toilet during the session, The Customer must immediately clean up after their dog, all customers should carry poo bags on their person, however spare poo bags and appropriate cleaning supplies will be provided.

  13. Training With Jas must be alerted to any behavioural problems prior to accepting a booking.


Booking Procedure and Payments

  1. All sessions can be booked via the Training With Jas Facebook page, email or Whatsapp. Confirmation of the booking, including joining instructions will be sent following payment.

  2. Full payment is required upfront for all 121 sessions, consultations, behaviour modification sessions, courses and training packages. If payment is not received at the time of booking, the appointment time will be released to other clients and The Customer will need to arrange a new date and time for the session.

  3. A deposit may be paid to secure a place on any group course. The deposit of 50% of the full amount is required at the time of booking, with the following 50% required before the day of the first session. If no payment is received more than 24 hours before the first session, the booking will be cancelled and no refund will be issued.

  4. Bookings and pre-paid sessions are non-transferrable to another person/dog.

  5. It is The Customer’s responsibility to book and use any credits once paid for.

  6. Bookings and pre-paid sessions expire after 12 weeks and no refund will be issued.

 

Cancellation Rights

Group Training Classes
 

  1. Group classes must be attended in a consecutive order. Should The Customer miss a session, no class credits will be issued except for those stated above for bitches in season, or at the discretion of Training With Jas.

  2. Should The Customer cancel a booking with more than 7 days notice, they will receive a 100% refund.

  3. Should The Customer cancel their booking with more than 3, but less than 7 days notice, they will receive a 50% refund of the initial 50% deposit (if given) or 25% of the total course cost.

  4. Should The Customer cancel their booking with less than 3 days’ notice no refund will be issued.

  5. Should The Customer not show up for the group training session, they will receive no refund.

  6. Should The Customer choose to or be required to leave the session, they will not receive any class credits or refund.

  7. Should The Customer fail to attend the full course no refund will be given.

 

121 Training Sessions and Behaviour Modification

 

  1. 121 sessions are non-transferrable to another person/dog.

  2. Should The Customer cancel their booking with more than 10 days notice, they will receive a 100% refund, or the option to rearrange their booking to a new date.

  3. Should The Customer cancel their booking with more than 5, but less than 10 days notice, they will receive a 50% refund or the option to rearrange the booking to a new date.

  4. Should The Customer cancel their booking with less than 5 days notice, no refund will be issued.

  5. Should The Customer not show up for the session, no refund will be issued.

  6. Should The Customer choose to or be required to leave the session, payment will be forfeit and any future sessions will require full payment.

  7. Should The Customer fail to attend the full course no refund will be given.

 

Training With Jas’s Rights

​

  1. Training With Jas reserves the right to cancel the contract (at any time and with immediate effect) if any dog/s under the contract do not respond well to the training plan and/or where the continuing of the sessions is deemed, by Training With Jas, to constitute a risk.

  2. Training With Jas reserve the right to refuse any booking for group sessions should these sessions not be in the dog’s best interest.

  3. The trainer will apply personal judgment and cut short a session or group class, if necessary, because of extreme weather conditions; including, but not limited to: excessive heat, torrential rain, thunder storms and snow/ice. The decision to do so lays with the judgment of the trainer, for the safety of themselves, members of the public, other animals and that of The Customer. In such circumstances the decision to give a partial refund for that session is at the discretion of Training With Jas.

  4. The methods used by Training With Jas are all force free, however are unlikely to provide instant results. For ensure success, all training plans require full-commitment from The Customer to work with their dog in the long-term.

  5. All dogs that are known to bite other dogs, people or cause injury MUST wear a muzzle. Training With Jas takes no responsibility for dogs who are not muzzled or kept under control, during the session or when working outside of the session. Failure to wear a muzzle when asked may result in termination of any future sessions. No refunds will be given under these circumstances.

  6. In some circumstances, Training With Jas may use a stooge dog/s to aid training. The Customer will be responsible for keeping their dog a sufficient and safe distance from the stooge dog and if asked will need their dog to wear a muzzle during these sessions.

  7. The Customer is happy for Training With Jas to share success stories, photos and videos of their dog via social media and the Training With Jas website.

  8. The Customer is happy and willing to write a testimonial if requested.

  9. The Customer agrees to report/check in regularly about their dog’s progress through either email, text, or by sharing on the Training With Jas Facebook page or respond to any communication from Training With Jas. Continual failure to do so can result in a termination of any remaining sessions.

  10. Training With Jas reserves the right to refuse any customer.

  11. Physical and verbal abuse will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
